RELEASES ~ ORANGE CAR CRASH - OPPOSITION
Opposition is a selection of nine songs out of the circa-seventeen recorded by OCC between October 2018 and August 2019 at MalDeTesta Studio (Padova, IT).
The sessions were engineered by Daniel Grego and Mirko Brigo, official FOH of the band since their very first live show.
The idea was to capture the "live sound" as faithfully as possible, thus the band recorded altogether in the same room, with no overdubs except for vocals and very few arrangements.
Nicola "Nich" Sanguin joined on guitar on "Hurricane", and Francesco Salmaso joined on baritone sax on "Panic Attack".
Opposition was mixed by mexican producer The Obsolete (Lorelle meets The Obsolete) who gave his strong, weird, psychedelic touch to the album.
This album's atmosphere broadens from psych-pop to krautrock, passing through melodies that may remind you of Ennio Morricone, noise from the '90s, or obsessive bass/drum beats from the '70s-'80s New York Wave.
