Berndsen's second album "Planet Earth" builds up on the retro-pop / 80s pastiche elements that his first record unleashed on the world. This time, as the title may suggest, he put in
some 'sci-fi' into the mix.
The title track is almost robotic, with its vocoder and tight bassline. A lot of the vocal lines throughout the album are reminiscent of early John Maus material but with a Berndsen touch.
The record overall is a lot more focused on rhythmic elements than melody lines, although those sweet Berndsen vocals still take it home at the end of the day.
