BlackboxRed previously recorded albums far from home, in desolate and hostile environments, for example snowed in 16th century French country house. But this time, for the recording of the EP 'Beak to Beak' they stayed close to home. They flew in UK producer Chris Hamilton (which whom they also worked on 'Battle of Sparrows' and 'The Gunner and the Ghost') to record the 5 songs with him in a warehouse in Leeuwarden.

In a total of five days they recorded the full EP, of which four songs our featured on the vinyl edition.

The result is a compelling and fierce set of songs that have a more direct touch to it than their previous release on Geertruida, which will surely find a way into their live set and get the crowd going.
